For our client we are currently looking for three

Bare-Metal & Control Plane Integration Specialists (m/f/d)

Volume: full-time
Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Your Skills
- Creating Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and Operators for automated lifecycle management of OpenStack services
- Integrating Helm-based OpenStack charts for seamless day-2 operations (scaling, upgrades, configuration changes)
- Building and documenting a bare-metal Kubernetes underlay using Metal-API and Gardener, with fully validated deployment procedures
- The result: a tested, documented, and reproducible Open Reference Architecture enabling secure, scalable, and automated cloud-edge infrastructure across Europe.

Your Tasks
- Solid experience with Kubernetes cluster provisioning and administration of control plane components
- Proficient in bare-metal provisioning (PXE/iPXE, IPMI/BMC tools) and Metal-API/metal-operator usage
- Familiarity with Gardener or similar Kubernetes multi-cluster frameworks
- Understanding of cloud infrastructure networking in bare-metal setups
- Ability to produce high-quality installation guides and technical documentation
- Ability to work across multiple organizational interfaces and manage stakeholder expectations
- Problem-solving under hardware and resource constraints
- Effective communication with open-source communities and maintainers
- Attention to detail for repeatable and documented processes
