For our client we are currently looking for three

Cloud Infrastructur & Kubernetes Operator Engineers (m/f/d)

Location: Remote with monthly visitis in Dresden/Berlin

Volume: full-time
Duration: 12 months with possible extension

Your Skills
- Deep knowledge of OpenStack core services (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Keystone) and deployment automation
- Expertise in Kubernetes Operators & custom controllers (Kubebuilder, Operator SDK), including CRD design and lifecycle management
- Proficiency with Helm charts (sapcc/helm-charts, OpenStack-Helm) and Kubernetes manifests
- Strong understanding of Kubernetes API design and best practices for configuration, scaling, and upgrades
- Experience with cloud infrastructure automation & DevOps pipelines for reliable service delivery
- Strong self-management and ability to work independently in complex environments
- High learning agility and adaptability to evolving open-source toolchains
- Collaborative mindset for cross-team and open-source community work
- Structured documentation and knowledge sharing

Your Tasks
- Creating Custom Resource Definitions (CRDs) and Operators for automated lifecycle management of OpenStack servicesIntegrating
- Helm-based OpenStack charts for seamless day-2 operations (scaling, upgrades, configuration changes)
- Building and documenting a bare-metal Kubernetes underlay using Metal-API and Gardener, with fully validated deployment procedures
- The result: a tested, documented, and reproducible Open Reference Architecture enabling secure, scalable, and automated cloud-edge infrastructure across Europe.
