Freelance_Backend Developer (Pyhton/Azure) for AI document processing  (m/w/d)

We are looking for an experienced Backend Developer to support the development of backend services for a document processing application using AI technology:
• The tasks are part of TÜV SÜD’s overarching initiative to develop a document analytics platform which utilizes state-of-the-art AI in a scalable setup, enabling the synergetic realization of solutions for document analytics. This initiative is driven by TÜV SÜD jointly with an implementation partner
• The Backend Developer will mainly work with Software Developers and Solution Engineers to develop and implement services. In addition, alignments with other implementation partners will take place
• The initiative is organized in a sprint-based, agile setup

Tasks:

• Develop backend functionalities in python that run in Azure Functions
• Implement access layer for storing and retrieving data to/from a database
• Create and maintain simple data models
• Create and maintain automated unit and integration tests for the developed functionalities
• Ensure high code quality, maintainability and reusability, fit the code into the existing architecture
• Developed testing efforts are well documented, reviewed and checked into the project repository


Requirements:


•Minimum of three years of experience as a python developer
• Experience in using Azure DevOps and Azure Services
• Track record in implementing SQL based applications including PostgreSQL
• Experience in working in agile, sprint-based settings
• Fluency in English, ideally also in German
