The Automotive Aftermarket division is responsible for the global aftermarket business. In over 140 countries, we provide our customers with vehicle spare parts, technical information, as well as diagnostics hardware/software and services for the diagnosis, maintenance and repair of vehicles. Our department focus is the development of ECU diagnosis content for our Aftermarket Multi Brand Diagnostic Tester.

We are seeking an Application Developer to support the development and validation of ECU diagnosis content for our Aftermarket Multi Brand Diagnostic Tester, contributing to the delivery of high-quality diagnostic solutions used in over 140 countries.

The required skills within this project are:
Knowledge of automotive technology
- Well-founded knowledge of relevant vehicle systems (engine control, ESP, airbag, driver assistance systems, etc.)
- Knowledge of diagnostic protocols (e.g. KWP2000, CAN, UDS, DoIP etc.)
- Confident use of analysis tools for data communication (e.g. HSX, Canalyzer, Simulator, etc.)
- Experience of working with OEM or multi-brand diagnostic testers
- Basic knowledge of a programming language
Basic knowledge in English

The optional skills are:
- ODX
- OTX expertise advantageous
- Knowledge of vehicle workshop processes

Remote work is limited to 50% due to project-relevant workshops and necessary validation activities on the vehicle.

Main task within this project:
- Development of control unit diagnostic information for passenger cars

Other tasks are:
- Recording and analyzing control unit communication on the vehicle
- Creation of vehicle simulations
- Specification of diagnostic content for the company's own KTS multi-brand tester
- Development of test steps/workflows
- Validation of the diagnostic content on the vehicle
