Senior Ontologist – 6 Months+ – Remote – Start August 2025

For our long-term customer, we are looking for a Senior Ontologist to support a company-wide Data & AI initiative focused on semantic data integration.

Tasks:
• Design and coordinate upper-level ontologies based on W3C open standards
• Oversee integration of ontologies into business processes
• Collaborate with business and domain experts to establish a unified data language
• Manage the full lifecycle of ontology development and deployment
• Lead initiatives to improve and evolve ontology practices
• Support knowledge-sharing and best practice alignment across teams

Conditions:
• 5+ years of experience in ontology development and semantic technologies (RDF, OWL, etc.)
• Strong understanding of W3C open standards and ontology modeling tools
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and their application in data contexts
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a global environment
• Preferred: Experience in pharma, healthcare, or life sciences
• Bonus: Background in Finance, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain

Project details:
• Start: 01/08/2025
• Duration: 6 months (with extension option)
• Utilisation: 4 to 5 days/week
• Location: Fully remote
• Language: English
