Process and project consulting for Asset PnL project (m/f/d)

Your Skills
- Proven experience with PnL processes and KPIs in trading or the energy sector, ideally with a focus on Mid-Term Asset Reporting.
- Strong knowledge of PnL logic and PnL explanation (“PnL Explained”), including alignment with Front Office, Risk, and Finance.
- Deep understanding of data architecture, particularly in the context of PnL calculation and reporting solutions.
- Solid experience with DBB infrastructures, reporting platforms, and the integration of strategic engines into data flows.
- Hands-on experience with SAP Business Objects (BO), Data Warehouse (DWH), Excel-based reporting processes, and their replacement by modern tools.
- Familiarity with energy market processes (e.g. electricity, gas, PPAs, short-term markets) and how they are reflected in reporting.
- Experience in prototyping, developing MVPs, and designing interim solutions.
- Experience in process consulting and project management, especially in discovery and design phases.
- Ability to independently analyze and structure complex business requirements in close collaboration with functional departments.
- Skilled in the design and alignment of end-to-end process flows, including automation, monitoring, and data quality assurance.
- Proficient in creating and facilitating RACI matrices, target operating models, and solution concepts.
- Strong track record in quality assurance and stakeholder management across cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with: DBB, RLT, ADMS/AO
- Proficient in: Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.)
- Experienced with: SAP Business Objects, DWH technologies
- Understanding of meta-layers and reporting architectures
- Skilled in data extraction processes and validation techniques
- Excellent communication skills in both German and English
- Ability to bridge the gap between IT, business, and controlling
- Experienced in conducting stakeholder workshops and presenting complex concepts clearly

Your Tasks
- Requirements Analysis and Conceptual Design (Discovery Phase) Consulting and aligning reporting requirements with Front Office, Risk, and Controlling.
- Developing and documenting a consistent PnL and PnL Explained logic.
- Securing sign-off of the reporting requirements and PnL logic with all relevant stakeholders.
- Objective: Establish a solid, business-aligned foundation for reporting and calculation logic.
- Solution Design and Architecture
- Designing a PnL calculation engine (MVP) based on the DBB infrastructure.
- Defining the PnL data flow and the related applications.
- Developing the data architecture for Asset PnL.
- Performing quality assurance during design and implementation.
- Objective: Build a scalable and future-proof PnL engine based on a modern infrastructure.
- Prototyping and Interim Solution
- Developing a reporting prototype, including daily data extraction and validation.
- Advising on the implementation of a feasible interim solution, based on the DBB framework and strategic PnL engine.
- Integrating user adjustments and external editing capabilities into the reporting process.
- Objective: Rapidly improve current processes through a working interim solution.
- End-to-End Process Design for Mid-Term Asset Reporting
- Designing a comprehensive reporting process, including system landscape and role responsibilities.
- Aligning with existing projects, such as the “Direct Marketing Project” (PPA and Short-Term PnL).
- Defining the degree of automation, monitoring, and data quality assurance requirements.
- Creating a RACI matrix for future process ownership.
- Objective: Create a sustainable and future-oriented structure for Asset PnL reporting.
- Additional Operational Tasks and Framework Conditions
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams (Front Office, Risk, Finance, IT, Reporting).
- Supporting the phase-out of legacy systems (SAP BO, DWH, Denver) once new solutions are in place.
- Communication with the client through designated contact persons (no direct interaction with client team members without coordination).
- Working with own infrastructure and software; Microsoft 365 and DBB access to be provided for a rental fee.
