The goal of the project is to design, develop, and implement a comprehensive Data Engineering Guide for Microsoft Fabric. This guide is intended to serve as a central knowledge and working resource to support data engineers in the efficient use of the data platform—particularly with regard to data integration, transformation, and modeling within the Microsoft Fabric system.

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric Data Factory Specialist to help design and develop a comprehensive Data Engineering Guide that empowers data engineers to effectively integrate, transform, and model data within the Microsoft Fabric platform.

The required skills would be:

• Very strong understanding of MS Fabric and especially Fabric/Azure Data Factory
• Strong skills and experience in CI/CD pipeline definition, creation & implementation
• First experience with Hybrid Cloud environments
• Know how in training data engineers

Optional skills include:

• Experience with data integration methods (ETL, ELT, etc.)
• Experience in integration of structured and unstructured data

The main task of the project:

Conceptual Design and Development of Data Factory Engineering Guide: Lead the creation and maintenance of a comprehensive Data Factory engineering guide, outlining best practices, design patterns, and standards for Bosch.

Other responsibilities within the project include:

• CI/CD Pipeline Implementation: Design and implement robust CI/CD pipelines for Data Factory, automating deployment processes and ensuring code quality.
• Data Factory Pipeline Template Development: Develop reusable Data Factory pipeline templates based on Bosch's specific use cases and integration patterns, promoting efficiency and consistency across projects.
• Data Factory Project Delivery: Develop and implement Data Factory pipelines to meet customer requirements, including proof-of-concept (PoC) development and full-scale implementations.
• Data Integration Migration Planning: Provide expert consulting services for migrating existing data integration pipelines to Microsoft Fabric Data Factory, developing comprehensive migration plans and strategies.
• Training and Mentorship: Train, guide, and support Bosch data engineers on Data Factory best practices, usage, and troubleshooting. Ensuring testing on software and system level to ensure the quality according to project internal tools development plan
