We are currently looking for a freelance IT Consultant/ Solution Architect - Customer Portal (SaaS) (gn) for our client.

Location: Remote/ Cologne, mostly remote (kickoff onsite)

Description

Job Overview:

* We are looking for an experienced external IT Solution Architect with expertise in Customer Portals and SaaS-based solutions to lead the evaluation and selection of a Customer Portal for the business stream from our client.
* In our clients business stream, they have two business units with different business processes that require a Customer Portal.
* Both units operate primarily on SAP technology, and we aim to implement a single, scalable SaaS-based portal that can later be extended to additional business units over the next years.
* The selected architect will be responsible for analyzing market solutions, identifying the best-fit SaaS product assessing their suitability for our business needs, and providing a detailed recommendation.


Tasks:


Market Research & SaaS Solution Evaluation:

* Conduct comprehensive research on available SaaS-based Customer Portal solutions.
* Compare solutions based on functionality, scalability, integration, cost, security, and vendor support.

* Identify strengths, weaknesses, and limitations of potential solutions.

Business & IT Requirements Analysis:

* Gather and analyze business requirements from different units.
* Ensure that the selected solution can accommodate multi-business unit variations.
* Assess integration feasibility with SAP.

Evaluation Report & Recommendations:

* Prepare a detailed evaluation report comparing shortlisted SaaS solutions.
* Provide a final recommendation on the most suitable SaaS product based on business and IT needs.

* Present findings to key stakeholders, including IT leadership and business.

Vendor Engagement & Assessment:

* Engage with SaaS vendors to gather detailed product capabilities and pricing.
* Assess vendor roadmaps, support services, and compliance standards.


Profile

Qualifications & Experience:

* Proven experience in evaluating and selecting SaaS-based Customer Portal solutions.
* Strong knowledge of SAP technologies
* Expertise in SaaS market research, vendor evaluation, and technology assessment.
* Experience in assessing API management, authentication (OAuth, SAML, SSO), and cloudbased integrations.
