IT, electronics and audio equipment enthusiast, since childhood. I've been actively involved in free/open-source users and developers communities, where I contributed with research and consultancy, but also with making hardware and software modifications in order to make devices compatible with free/open-source software. I've also held presentations promoting free software, at various conferences around Europe (Coliberator, OpenFest, PrivacyWeek), but also in the US (LibrePlanet). Most of this was due to volunteering for the free software foundation Ceata.org, and contributing to the Technoethical project, which worked on providing as-free-and-secure-as-possible hardware for free software users and developers.
